LAUPEHOEHOE MUSIC FESTIVAL

The annual Laupahoehoe Music Festival hosts an exceptional lineup of Hawaiian entertainers. Grammy recognized rising stars, veteran masters and top local bands come together for a day of nonstop music and hula, island style! The Hawai’i Songwriting Festival is a celebration of the art & craft of songwriting, with an emphasis on collaboration, education, and music for film/TV. Songwriters of all levels from all walks of life come together to connect with each other and music professionals from Hawai’i, the mainland, and beyond. Whether you are a beginning songwriter or an experienced writer with placements and publishing deals, at the Hawai’i Songwriting Festival you will learn a ton, expand your network, and get your creative batteries charged up!

HAWAII PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL

The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival brings together talented young musicians from Hawaii, the U.S., Canada, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America and Europe to Hawaii Island.

Every year this month-long festival brings between 20 and 30 concerts to the Big Island spread over ~10 venues in Waimea, Hilo, Honoka’a and all along the Kohala coast.  Many of the concerts are free to the public.

BIG ISLAND STYLE SLACK KEY GUITAR FESTIVAL

ʻĀina Fest, previously known as Kohala ‘Āina Festival was born out of husband and wife team Dash & Erika Kuhr’s desire to share the abundant food and vast potential for healthy living in Niuli’i, ‘Āina Fest grows richer in offerings and attendance each year. This powerful & unique day-long event features a packed schedule of world-renowned & local musicians, performing artists, hands-on land based education, Hawaiian cultural activities, keiki activities, yoga, arts & crafts vendors & an abundance of organically grown, farm fresh food.

Together, we rise up to celebrate and empower local farmers & the vibrant movement for island-wide food sovereignty. 100% of proceeds from the event support the three core pillars of HIP Agriculture’s programming: Residential Farmer Trainings, Youth Education & Community Events.
